When it rains.....

It POURS.

We have the worst luck. I am a stress ball lately, just waiting for someone to come by and squeeze the crap out of me.

Since we bought our house, a number of things have gone wrong. Water Softner, Water Heater, Roof (which I admit we did know about prior to signing), Air Conditioner, numerous leaks & plumbing issues... and the list goes on... We bought new appliances last year to replace the horrible ones that were left behind when we moved in. Of course, the warranty ended in September, which would make it about time for the range/oven to suddenly decide to no longer turn on and heat. Turns out there was some faulty wiring in the back which burned out. AND.. it takes 3-4 days to order a new part.

everytime we seem to be finally getting somewhere, something else falls apart. In the past few months we have had both our vehicles undergo major issues and after fixing them, they both start up with problems again. This time, they estimate our explorer will cost over 1300 to fix. Are you kidding me? Our van has a minor problem.. it just won't blow out air on settings 3 or 5. Nice..

Not to mention I am soon to be a M.S. college graduate entering the workforce and the most inopportune time. The economy is crap. Word has it the state is going to put a hiring freeze on all jobs (MSU included, which was a hopefully employer). AND.. my loans begin collecting in June. I guess I am just SOL... It just stresses me out to no end.. because we live in Mankato, own a house here.. so we cannot just pick up and move to where the jobs are (if they are anywhere)..I know, I know.. everyone is going through the ringer on this one.. but still.. it does merit a little complaining, right?

So, yeah.. I am contemplating returning to school in the fall for Masters #2. The U of M offers a MPH online program. But if I choose a program at MSU, I can more than likely keep my GA in the Women's Center.

We've gotta be hitting the top of the hill soon, right?? I mean this uphill climb cannot continue forever... or can it?

In general everything seems crappy right now. And it does seem the moment you fix something there is something right behind it to break. A few years ago we had serious car repairs to both cars and as a single income family it was bad. All I can say is hope for the best.
